Introduction
Should you trade SHMP stock? Before you do, know what it is today. SHMP is the ticker of NaturalShrimp, an indoor shrimp farmer that lost its farms to receivership and has since been renamed BlueFuture Aquatics. The shares trade for a fraction of a cent, at a market value of roughly $1 million.
This guide draws on SEC filings, the company’s October 2, 2026 shareholder letter and market data from October 2026. It covers recent price action, the company’s liquidation-basis financials, its new “microfishery” plan and how it compares with listed aquaculture peers.
You will see why the stock can move several hundred percent on tiny trades, why its balance sheet is the central risk, and what to check before putting any money in.
TL;DR
SHMP stock is a sub-penny, high-risk OTC stock without an operating business. NaturalShrimp, now BlueFuture Aquatics, has no working farms, about $30,000 in cash against $11.4 million of current liabilities, and going-concern doubt. Any upside rests on an unproven microfishery plan, and a total loss is a real possibility.

SHMP trades in fractions of a cent, so small orders move it a lot. Stock Titan listed a last close of $0.0006 on October 5, 2026, with an intraday quote of $0.0007, and showed gains of about 200% for the month and 100% over twelve months. Another data provider showed one-month and one-year gains above 450% and 370%, so figures differ by source and should be checked with a broker. On July 24, 2026, StockAnalysis showed $0.0008, a 52-week range of $0.000001 to $0.0012, volume of about 3.2 million shares and a beta of -0.64.
Market value is tiny: about $0.9 million to $1.5 million depending on the source, on roughly 1.28 billion common shares outstanding as of July 5, 2026. Shareholders approved raising authorized shares to 5 billion in March 2026, which leaves room for heavy dilution. The company’s 10-K says the shares trade on the OTC Expert Market, which limits who can buy.
Standard technical tools such as moving averages and RSI carry little weight here. At $0.0006 to $0.0007, a single $0.0001 tick is a move of 14% to 17%.
Authorized shares leave room for about 3.9 times today’s share count
Authorized: 5 billion. Outstanding: about 1.28 billion (Jul 5, 2026).
About 26% of authorized shares are outstanding. Shareholders approved the increase to 5 billion in March 2026.
Antelo 10% and Hydrenesis 15% of economic ownership. Other holders are shown as the remainder, before any other share issuance.
Milestones could lift the combined stake to 65%. Issuing the preferred shares would dilute current holders.

Fundamentals and latest filings
SHMP holds about 0.3 cents of cash for every dollar it owes within a year
Tap or hover a row for detail. June 30, 2026. Bars share one scale, so cash is a sliver.
Cash of $30,460 against $11,383,049 of current liabilities, Net liabilities in liquidation were $8,992,589 at Mar 31, 2026.

The numbers are weak. NaturalShrimp’s last full operating year (ended March 2025) produced sales of $202,817 and a net loss of $10.7 million. Since then it has reported on a liquidation basis. The 10-K for the year ended March 31, 2026, filed July 22, showed net liabilities in liquidation of $8,992,589 and cash of $9,851.
The latest 10-Q, for the quarter ended June 30, 2026 and filed October 1, shows cash of $30,460 against current liabilities of $11,383,049. Cash therefore covers about 0.3% of what is due within a year. The company discloses doubt about its ability to continue as a going concern and ineffective disclosure controls. It is in default on $1,179,832 of notes and $933,993 of accrued preferred dividends, and it still owes Hydrenesis about $1.3 million. An equity line of up to $5 million exists, but no money had been received by June 30.
There is no P/E ratio because earnings are negative, no dividend and no analyst coverage on the pages checked. Reporting has also been late: the company filed a notice of delay for its June-quarter report in August.
Recent business operations news
The story is a restructuring. In September 2024, a Utah court appointed a receiver at the request of lenders Streeterville Capital and Bucktown Capital, who said NaturalShrimp had defaulted. In February 2025, the receiver reported that sales could not cover costs and that the company would lose about $165,000 a month even after cutting spending. It proposed selling substantially all assets, including the La Coste, Texas facility and three Iowa facilities, against $33.8 million of secured debt. The four properties were valued at about $9.9 million and total assets at just under $17 million.
In May 2025, assets went to the secured lenders in exchange for erasing about $36 million of debt, and operations ceased.
2026 brought a new chapter. On March 30, David Antelo became CEO and sole director after the prior officers resigned, tied to an agreement with Hydrenesis to pivot toward aquaculture and water treatment technology. Holders of about 55% of voting stock approved a name change to BlueFuture Aquatics. In July, the Hydrenesis deal was amended to a perpetual, exclusive IP license instead of an IP transfer. On October 2, the company issued a shareholder letter setting out its new plan.
Business model
The old model used large, centralized indoor farms in Texas and Iowa to raise Pacific white shrimp in recirculating systems. It needed heavy capital and never reached profitable scale. The new CEO calls that approach unsustainable.
The new model, per the October 2 letter, is the “microfishery”: a small indoor shrimp farm near its customers. Each site would use the same technology, operating methods and monitoring, be built one at a time, and be validated by its market before more capital is committed. The technical focus is spotting water-quality changes early and correcting them with monitoring and automation.
The company licenses technology from Hydrenesis under a perpetual, worldwide, exclusive, sublicensable license effective June 25, 2026, and plans to file its own IP protection. Planned preferred shares would give Antelo 10% economic ownership and Hydrenesis 15%, with milestones that could lift the combined stake to 65%. None had been issued by June 30, and issuing them would dilute current holders.
Expected growth
There is no revenue today, so growth is a plan, not a forecast. The letter gives no funding amounts, revenue targets or dated milestones, and no analysts publish estimates.
Several things must happen first: raise capital (the $5 million equity line is unused), settle or restructure $11.4 million of current liabilities, complete the Hydrenesis IP arrangements, build a first microfishery and prove its unit economics. Most of those steps would likely involve issuing shares, and authorized shares are set at 5 billion against about 1.28 billion outstanding. The upside case is a replicable small-farm model that works at the first site. The downside case is further dilution without a working farm.
How SHMP compares with peers
Comparison is awkward because SHMP is not operating. The closest listed indoor-aquaculture peer is Atlantic Sapphire, which farms salmon indoors in Florida.
| Metric | SHMP (BlueFuture Aquatics) | Atlantic Sapphire |
|---|---|---|
| Operating status | No operating farms; liquidation-basis reporting | Operating indoor salmon farm |
| Latest revenue | $202,817 (year to March 2025) | $26.5M (first half 2026) |
| Latest net loss | $10.7M (year to March 2025) | $30.9M (first half 2026) |
| Volume trend | None | Harvest up 14% year on year |
| Liquidity / ownership | Cash $30,460 vs $11.4M current liabilities (Jun 30, 2026) | Coral HoldCo holds 68.73% after a mandatory offer; possible Oslo delisting |
| Market value | About $0.9M to $1.5M | Not stated in source |
Atlantic Sapphire shows what operating looks like. Revenue rose to $26.5 million from $21.5 million, and its adjusted EBITDA loss narrowed to $16.4 million from $26.8 million, yet that is still a margin near -62% and the company needed a controlling shareholder. AquaBounty, another land-based fish farmer, said in December 2024 it lacked the cash to continue and began winding down its last farm.
For SHMP, a P/E or price-to-sales ratio means little. The ratio that matters is liquidity: cash of about 0.3% of current liabilities. Verify live peer valuations with your broker, since sources differ.

Conclusion
SHMP stock is a sub-penny, high-risk OTC stock tied to a company with no operating farms, about $30,000 of cash and $11.4 million of current liabilities. The microfishery plan is early, has no stated funding and would likely dilute shareholders.
Your next step: read the latest 10-Q, treat any position as money you can lose entirely, and compare the company with operating peers. See the SHMP stock comparison page for related data. This is not investment advice.
